1967 Fender Jazz Bass Sunburst
Now available on consignment, an original 1967 Fender Jazz Bass that has been refinished in sunburst.
This particular example came from its original owner a few years back, originally being a blonde finish over an ash body which was stripped many years ago. Other features include a bound fingerboard with block inlays, the CBS style headstock decal, and an October neck date. This lines up with the visible pot dates of the 13th week, and 37th week of 1966.
The body and neck were both refinished in nitrocellulose lacquer, the original decal remains, as do the original frets.
Most of the original parts remain except for the strap buttons. The original pickups remain, as does the tortoiseshell pickguard which has no cracks. There are however extra screw holes from the tug-bar being moved to multiple locations including on the body itself. The hardware otherwise is correct for '67 including the bridge, tuners, screws, bridge plate and saddles.
This one has been recently setup with flat wounds, the original frets are low, but playable up and down the neck.
