This Deluxe Reverb is from 1967, with most components dating to mid to late 1966.
The power transformer is dated to 1969, a Fender replacement, and the rest are original to the amp. The power transformer has no effect on the sound of the amp, unless the wrong one is picked I suppose. You'll get the same sound from this amp as you will any mid-60s Deluxe Reverb.
Some beneficial service has been performed on the amp. The power cable was changed to a grounded one. The filter caps are updated, as are the bypass caps. The tremolo section of the amp must have needed some work - there is a new optical "bug" and the three caps next to it are replaced. All of this work would add up to a hefty repair bill from your tech, and it was all recently handled in this amp.
We tested all the tubes to make sure they are working well too.
The speaker is a Fender from early 1968. I am sure that it is not original to this amp, but it is a great match and it sounds solid.
The amp runs strong and quiet and sounds just like it should. It is in nice cosmetic condition as well.
