The Fender Custom Shop, which has its own line in the Fender factory, is the section that makes the best instruments within Fender, and produces models that faithfully reproduce the specifications of various eras, not to mention outlandish models. The 1960 Stratocaster Relic in stock this time is, as the name suggests, a reissue of the 1960 Stratocaster, with its slab-rose fingerboard, clay dot, alder body, mint-colored 3-piece pickguard, and other specifications as they were at the time.
The body is finished in Dakota Red, a custom color that was introduced around 1958. The Closet Classic has been stored in Closet for a long time and has hardly been used, so it has fine weather checks and a slight relic finish.
The logo on the back of the head has been shaved off, and the pickup countertops have been dropped in, making this a bargain!
