Fender Custom Shop 2019 Michael Landau 1963 Stratocaster Relic
This is the signature model of Michael Landau, a studio and session musician with a huge following.
The guitar is based on his own 1963 Stratocaster, and the texture of the original guitar has been meticulously reproduced, including the multi-layered sunburst finish peeking out from under the Fiesta Red color, the completely stripped paint in the center of the body back, and the neck grip with the lacquer peeling off after years of playing.
The neck has a unique asymmetrical shape taken from the original guitar, and the back of the neck has a satin finish with paint stripped off.
The fingerboard is 7.25 radius with narrow tall type frets and the pickups are hand-wound Fat 50s signed “CG”.
There are no dents on the frets, and about 80-90% fret remaining, and the neck and truss rod are both in good condition.
