John T. English joined Fender in 1972, retired in 1978, but returned to Fender in the late 80's and continued to be a master builder. He was a legendary guitar builder who continued to produce guitars at the forefront of the industry until his death in 2007.
This 2001 Fender Custom Shop MBS 1955 Custom Stratocaster built by John English is a faithful reproduction of a 1955 Stratocaster. The soft V-shaped neck is made of grippy maple, and the light ash body is lightweight and contains sound well in the conduit, producing mellow overtones. The ultra-thin lacquer lacquer coating with a heavy, heavy-weight, and heavy-relief finish brings out 100% of the sonic qualities of the high-quality materials.
John English, who experienced the ups and downs of Fender with his own body as the company progressed, has continued to explore the good and bad of guitars and the instruments that musicians are looking for, and has said himself, "I love vintage tones and can handle any order I get.
