Fender Custom Shop 2008 MBS 1957 Stratocaster Heavy Relic Active Circuit Master Built by Todd Krause
The 1957 Stratocaster Heavy Relic Active Circuit model was built by master builder Todd Krause, who has worked on many of Eric Clapton's guitars.
This model combines the vintage look and specs of the current Clapton signature model, with the well-worn fingerboard and peeling paint on the body and neck meticulously recreated.
The electronics are based on Clapton's signature model, with Noiseless pickups and Master Volume/Master Tone/Mid Boost controls. (Originally finished with conductive lacquer, not TBX).
The neck is V-shaped, similar to Clapton models, and the frets are vintage type on the 9.5R fingerboard.
The tremolo is fixed by a wooden block.
The frets have a slight dented areas around the low position of the plain strings, but overall there is more than 90% remaining, and there are no problems with the neck and truss rod.
