Description

Bay Area Vintage Guitars is proud to present this all-original 1971 Fender Custom Maverick, which features a very nice sunburst finish.

This guitar is in great original condition, displaying only moderate signs of play wear with chips, scratches, and finish checking. The binding on each side of the fretboard shows checking and cracking, but that patina doesn't interfere with playability. The playability is very nice, boasting low action and medium fret wear.

Equipped with its original factory pickups, pots, and vibrato, it produces a rich, smooth sound with a tonal edge to suit many musical styles. It appears to be a slab board fretboard, with the high tuner changed from the original. The truss rod is working as it should. While showing signs of wear, the original frets have plenty of life.
