1994 40th Anniversary Fender Telecaster
This guitar was made in the first run of Fender Custom Shop Instruments. It is number 38 of 300. We also have #3 of 300 finished in a beautiful amber color. We have included a picture of Bill Schultz with #1.
From the Ken Feist Collection
These were some of the first guitars ever made in the Fender Custom Shop. Bill Schultz was given #1 of this series, the man responsible for resurrecting the soon-to-fail Fender Musical Instruments Corporation in 1985. Bill wanted a "best of the best" department, and these guitars were made to showcase what the new Custom Shop could do.
This guitar has been kept out of circulation since, owned by local Fender rep Ken Feist. It is in unplayed condition, with all case candy, memorandums from the custom shop and FMIC, and more. We even have the shipping box...
This guitar features a highly flamed maple top as well as a flamed maple neck. Adorned with gold hardware, pearl buttoned gold tuners, abalone dot inlays, and grained ivoroid binding and pickguard, this Telecaster will stand out from a crowd with a pedigree to support it.
