1951 Epiphone ZEPHYR DELUXE REGENT, a full acoustic guitar by Epiphone made before it became part of Gibson.
Epiphone was acquired by Gibson in 1957 and became Epiphone Banjo Corporation in 1928, but before that, in 1873, a violin and lute maker named "Anastasios Stathopulo" established a workshop in New York City. The company was founded in 1928 under the name of the Piphone Banjo Corporation.
This 1951 Epiphone ZEPHYR DELUXE REGENT is a full acoustic guitar made in Epiphone's New York workshop. The sides and back are made of beautifully grained maple on a spruce top used for violin and piano resonator panels, giving it a beautiful, clean, and expansive sound. Equipped with Epiphone's original New York pickups. Although the output is low, it is easy to create nuance, and the pickups have excellent high-frequency characteristics.
