1966 FT-45 Cortez / Epiphone 

Epiphone FT-45 manufactured at the Kalamazoo factory like Gibson is now in stock.
This small body has the same body shape as Gibson's B-25/LG.

The most notable feature when compared to Gibson is the length of the head side.
While the Gibson acoustic has a slightly loose and spare sound, the FT-45 has a bouncy sound with a fast decay, making it a great match for short passages with short note values.

It is better to think of the B-25 and the FT-45 as completely different acoustic guitars rather than to consider which is better.

Also, this guitar was equipped with a plastic bridge during this period.
The sound of the hollow bridge structure is unique to this period.
