初期OD-1の回路にはクワッドオペアンプ(4個のOPアンプをまとめたオペアンプ)が搭載されました。極初期に搭載されたRC3403ADBとロット#8400〜8800あたりに搭載されたNECμPC4741Cが確認されていますが、本機は前者のものになります。LEDインジケータはバッテリーチェッカー専用で、現在のBOSSエフェクターの仕様とは違っています。RC3403ADB搭載品は、ローが幾分タイトでハイが延びていてザクザクとした明るいサウンドが特徴です。これぞ名機OD-1のオリジナルサウンドを味わえる貴重な一品です!! 本機のシリアルは#7800で、1978年1月製造のものになるかと思われます。
