1956 - ‘59 Burst’ Les Paul Conversion

This guitar started out as an all original 1956 Gibson P90 Les Paul Goldtop (no breaks). The mahogany body, maple top, mahogany neck, Brazilian Fretboard, all bindings & inlays are original to the guitar. This guitar is very resonant & lightweight at 8lbs 12oz. The Flame maple top is deep and as good as any original 59 Burst.

Conversion includes the following:

Plug P90 Cavities then Route For Humbuckers

Plug the screw holes from Bigsby, Bridge & Tailpiece

Install Bridge studs & Retrospec Tailpiece bushings at correct placement

ThroBak JW102B PAF style pickups & Aged Bone Rings

CreamTone Featherweight Stop Tailpiece & Switch Ring

Finish with correct Aniline dyes and Nitro Lacquer by Historic Makeovers

Refret with Jescar 57110 fret wire/Nylon 6/6 Nut / Gibson Chain Saw Case

Refin was done by Historic Makeovers (includes aging & checking)

Original 56 Parts Include: Truss Rod Cover, Recut Original Pickguard, Pickguard bracket, Switch, Switch Tip, Strap Buttons, Input Jack, Jack plate, ABR1 no-wire Bridge with new saddles (original saddles in case) Original Centralab 500K Pots & Bumble Bee caps, Control Knobs & Backplates (1950’s Pat Pend Grover Tuners)
